I have a HSS Pro Series Vest but sometimes when heavily dressed its tuff fitting. I know belts ain't the best but curious to get your input.
Anyone see these at the Harrisburg Show over the years???

Used to use one prior to having a harness. It was good for what it was but I'd never replace a harness with one. I just put my heavy clothes over top my harness, no issues with that.

Many suggest never layering clothing OVER harness due to potential constriction of clothing if a hard fall(up around collar) leading to choking. Also, if in trouble chances of cutting straps are hindered if worn under layers of clothing. I always thought wearing under layering of clothing wasn't even an option?

That's a good point I guess but it's probably better than wearing a strap lol.

I hate harnesses. To restrictive.
I always liked belts, but way to dangerous. The quick release feature here seems a much better idea, but, if you are hanging upside down, not so good.
Most of the time I'm on the ground or in a ladder stand these days. just feel safer there

Probably wouldn't hurt to strap a safety belt on etc even while in a ladder stand Dutch. I too use a ladder more than a climber these days. Also been using ground blinds depending where im hunting.
I called Silent Slide for more info. I like the way they do business under the old honor system....they send belt & you send check at the same time with them crossing in the mail(per the Owner's Wife). Not many business's offer that anymore....which told me alot.

I have one and use it all the time! I like it better then a harness. Just my preference. Bought one off the old Norwegian a couple years ago!

I sit away from and facing the tree most of time. With the easy slide the belts are down at your waist out of the way not over your shoulder. It works best for me. I like it

243.....I went with the standard 12" tether. Hoping it would do me. Whut I'm amazed at ...I called Friday and spoke to the owners wife and safety strap was in my mailbox Monday paid for by personal check(mailed Friday). Their ad said they sold several hundred thousand...which I now see why.

How do you this belt when climbing up/down from a stand? After all, that is when 90% of falls occur.
I have always put a harness on underneath the jacket/coat I have on, teather out back collar if it does not already have a slit cut in back. Don't see where there would be a problem undoing strap locks and sliding out from it even with a coat on. idk, the belts have been deemed unsafe for a reason and not TSA accepted, but I guess it is better than nothing.

It’s 3 piece like your harness belt around my waist and tether to another belt that goes around the tree. Put it up as high on the tree as I can. Climb to it and move up again and again til I get to where I want. I always use a climber or ladder.

Dangerous piece of equipment. Stay with your safety harness. BTW, most safety harnesses have a limited life, usually 5 years from the production date. Check the tags on yours, and replace if beyond the date...your life depends on it.
BTW, Ladder Stands can fail too....wear a harness if your feet leave the ground.
