This e-blast went out today from the QDMA to every hunter in a 50 mile radius of the school's zip code.
Dear Wildlife Enthusiast,
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has recently been detected for the first time in Pennsylvania. A deer in a captive herd in Adams County tested positive for the fatal disease last week. The Game Commission will host a public meeting at the Bermudian Springs High School auditorium on Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm to provide information on this issue and to notify hunters of monitoring stations that will be in place during the deer season. I'm writing to make you aware of the situation and provide the meeting details if you're interested in attending. The Bermudian Springs High School is located at 7335 Carlisle Pike, York Springs, PA 17372. Good luck this season and we will provide additional information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support of the QDMA.
Sincerely, Kip Adams Certified Wildlife Biologist Director of Education & Outreach

And because no one else cautioned about sharing the PLS info link on other sites, I will. Yep, some on that committee can't be taken seriously.
