please someone tell me I am looking at it wrong and our archery season won’t end on the 10th of November next year! Yep. That is how the calendar works out this year. It will soon start ending later again. I prefer it when it ends closer to the 15th. Just when things are starting to heat up, our season will be ending next fall.

Yep me too on the later the better. I wish it would roll right up to the Friday after Thanksgiving ! We will see it at some point. As rifle hunter numbers keep falling, opportunities have to be added to achieve goals. That might be more rifle time, a Saturday start to rifle, Sunday hunting, or longer archery season.

Not to stir the pot, but GO BACK to pretty much the entire month of October... or 4 weeks'ish. Take the 2 additional weeks they gave yinz in November some years ago, and give them to me in late flint season. PERFECT ! You guys should be chasing pheasants, turkey, rabbit, and squirrel in early November anyhow.

PERFECT ! _o Flintlock could easily be extended statewide now to close on the same date as it closes in the SRA now. I emailed the commissioners about that prior to last Januarys meeting. I plan to do the same prior to this year's one.

You guys should be chasing pheasants, turkey, rabbit, and squirrel in early November anyhow. No rabbits to chase any more and harder to find places to hunt rabbits. How far back back are we going? I’ve been bow hunting since 89-90 and I think we had 6 weeks back then. You can’t still be crying about that can you. Time to get over that. I bought a crossbow this year in case I want to hunt after Christmas and for my girls to use too. But I tagged enough deer in those 2 weeks in November that I don’t have to go out unless I get the itch too. Have a couple dmap tags yet.

You took a post about archery season dates to talk about extending flinters season. I think you’ll see increases in deer hunting opportunities but it will be where the biggest trends are in hunting and that right now is bow hunting and will never be flintlock season. Inlines for 3-4 days after Christmas would be good! Not to stir the pot!

Relax my younger brother, from a diffy mother. You're a newbert here. The longer you're here, the more you'll realize I'm typically a jerk-off, and like to screw around with folks. ....... but I reckon for a change of pace, I could log on, piss & moan on everything, and be a general cyber pain in the ass.

I'm finally going to a crossbow this year. I'm going to try a crossbow in the late season this year if Dutch still has a spare to loan me.

Flero I’m a newbie here but have seen you on other sites for years. I too stir the pot and like to get people going! I’m not easily offended nor get worked up easily. It’s all fun I like to hunt and have spirited conversations. I recently had enough of another site I was a regular on. Came here to find many names that used to be on that site!
