Ya know what bugs me about Presidential elections?
Its down to only a science now.
We now know that 6 or so states will determine the election. PA isn't one of them. So, for 44 states, roughly, they know who is gonna win and lose. The people in those 44 states, have already been written off.
I almost think there should be some sort of law banning the announcements of polls. Except for local races, it's almost like my vote doesn't count, unless I live in a contested state.

It all bugs me to no end!! I hate being so grouchy! Sometimes I think I would make JohnS seem like a marshmallow nosed librarian.. Polls are sheeple tools used by the media for ratings.. But what bugs me even more is projecting election winners when only 8% of the results are in!! That should be completely outlawed with heavy fines for media projection of winners before at least 90% of the vote is in. A lot of people who cannot vote until evening after work are convinced by the media the time and effort to vote is wasted. Their candidate has already lost or won.. And when you add in the time zone difference between the east coast and the west coast, it is even more annoying to watch the media project winners.. Bunch of really annoying bull that should be prosecuted for election tampering. The media has lost all sight of what news was originally intended to provide. It is now a production.. with ratings at all costs.. matters not what is reported, only does it sell. I think it's time for a little American Honey on the rocks..

Glenn, I was sure that they are not allowed to project winners until the polls close in each state? BTW, JohnS would NEVER seem like a marshmellow nosed librarian.

I just hope our Pres ain't allowed to be called Obama here!! ;D How about Lucifer then? Agree or disagree with him, let's respect the office. When Romney is elected, do we want the other side to throw similar barbs at our guy? Do unto others as you would have done to you. Our society is losing a great deal due to the rancor over politics. We no longer have statesman that seek to find solutions, we have stateman that only exist to throw barbs at one another.

My feeling is that we are looking at 4 more years of Obama.
I also feel that no matter who was in there the past 4 years, this thing was so big, nothing much could be accomplished. This is a big hole we have dug for ourselves, and it will take many years to get out of it.
Japan had a real estate collapse in 1992, and they have still not recovered. Two lost decades for Japan.

What REALLY bothers me is this, if Obama is so bad, why can't the Republicans field a candidate that can whip him?
WHERE ARE THE LEADERS LIKE WE USED TO HAVE? Guess I'll wait for Christie in 2016.

Christie is a character, and I would vote for him.. but, the average voter will not. He has a reputation for being brutally honest, and that does not win you friends in politics. Plus, let's face it... he is fat! Fat don't win in politics, the prettiest face, or in the case of the current administration the best Pied Piper does..
