The guy did his business in the private sector. You were an accountant for those same business guys. Were they swamp creatures too when they paid you to find every loophole in the tax system?

Were they swamp creatures too when they paid you to find every loophole in the tax system? I wasn't his accountant. And if I was I'd fire him just as his CPA did. I know how that works. I've "fired" clients during my career. I did not want my reputation tarnished by a client who was clearly attempting to subvert the law. Our society has structure. One of those is the tax code. Did I help clients cheat? No. Did I help clients take every legal available tax deduction they could in order to pay the least amount of tax? Yes. And??

So his tax returns were a big deal until someone leaked them and there was nothing there because he took advantage of that same tax code that you did. You just want to put your personal spin on it to help with your hysteria.

He was found guilty and now he has to pay. So?

And I never referenced his tax returns. Trump submitted inflated PERSONAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. Not his tax returns. He lied on those personal financial statements about what is net worth was. That's considered fraudulent under NY law.
No spin....just facts.

The banks just don't do their own appraisals or anything. Imagine all the other people who ask for more of what something is worth. I guess they are next?

I guess they are next? Trump lied to the appraiser that did the appraisal on his NY Condo. That's a fact. Trump lied via non-disclosure that he signed away the development rights of Mar-a-logo so he, nor any future buyer could develop the golf course into private housing. He signed those rights away in order to get a significant reduction in property taxes. But....when he valued Mar-a-lago on his personal financial statements, he valued its worth based upon a developer buying it for single family homes......WHEN THE PROPERTY COULD NEVER HAVE THAT DONE!!! So, valuing it at "just a golf course" is a much lower value. And Trump didn't do that.

Nope you will float around it.

But I understand why he was charged and what he did to defraud the bank.

Well I watch Alan Dershowitz who openly states he won't vote for Trump unless Sanders runs. He seems to disagree with you. He will win on appeal. That's in that constitution that you only use when it's convenient for you.

If he wins on appeal, then he wins. IMHO, the best he will do is get a reduction in the penalty. But it’s still gonna cost him, and it’s still gonna hurt.
