Some are predicting the change with how antlerless licenses are sold will result with fewer killed per license numbers alloted. I think it will be about the same ratio.

Wondering why people think it will change? They think that because the antlerless can bought when the regular license is purchased, they will buy one just for the hell of it. Not be serious about using it.

Not be serious about using it. That wouldn't surprise me. So in turn they will need to raise allocations which would increase the number of licenses sold to get the kill that they want. This would result in more $$ being raised, so not sure what the issue would be.

I probably will wait a few days to get my license this year. There are plenty of antlerless tags, so there should be no rush to ensure you get one. The crush will happen the first day they go on sale. I might go to the local agent just to watch and see if the system crashes.

Last year there was an almost all day line just before doe tags went on sale. IMO, they screwed this up, but we will see. Like you, I will wait

I don't buy an antlerless. The change with how they are sold won't entice me into purchasing one.

When next years harvest numbers are announced and antlerless allocations are made will be the proof in the pudding!! Now no paper applications(where applicant actually has to read lol), no pink mailing process, no checks to be clearing etc etc involved.......electronic cash now immediately in the till!! A BIG WIN, WIN for the PGC!!

Pretty much permits don't sell out on the first round, in theory, everyone gets one. We all know people will be in line and online at 8 am. I'm guessing the system crashes

There are only so many hunters who want an antlerless license. The bulk of them were buying in under the pink envelope system. Not all of them intended to use all the antlerless licenses they purchased. If some of those licenses are bled off into the hands of someone buying because they can with little desire to use it, I don't see the harvest rate changing very much.

They can but you also have to remember that the majority of people he encountered over the past 30 years hated him just because he was a WCO.He's genuinely a good guy who would do just about anything for anyone. The amount of time he's vounteered is hard to even describe.I've spent quite a bit of time with him over the past 20 years and he's different in person than he is on line.

My problem with RSB is he was such a cheerleader for Alt, and when the fawn recruitment data didn't improve, he kept up the cheerleading. Meanwhile, he sent communications saying he sint understand why it hadn't improved, when he was told it would.
Theory is one thing, but data doesn't lie, unless it's manipulated.

DMAP do sell out in the first round This year DMAP's won't be available until 8/14. Likely postponed due to expectation of heavy traffic from launch of new antlerless license process. FROM PGC Site:DMAP permits become available to hunters during the third round of antlerless license sales (second Monday of August). However, landowners can request permits for their property until July 1. As landowner requests are processed, new permits for hunters will appear in the system. Hunters not finding permits available for a specific property should contact the landowner for more information.
