BTW.....I received the last turkey call that WF had for sale. It's a very nice piece of work I must say. I have a cocabola wood suction call that took me about a year to learn how to use it.
So, my initial tries with WF's creation revealed I need some practice. But, I going to cut a piece of .223 brass and form it so the mouth piece is a little smaller\slimmer than the existing bone mouthpiece. I think it will be easier for me to get the sound that I know the piece is capable of.
I'll post some pics of how it goes when I get to it.

I got WF's wing bone call and it sounds very nice. Different than my existing suction call. Now, for me I need to keep the position of the suction end in pretty much the same place in order to get a consistent sound. So, I took a .223 piece of brass, cut it in half, annealed it so it would be easier to form, then I got it to go over the call. Then I "crushed" the small end of the .223 (experimented as I went) and got it to the point where I like the sound.....and can consistently repeat the sound. Finally I reached into my fly tying "stuff", came up with a color close to what WF did and just wrapped thread like it was a big fly. Finally, I used a UV epoxy and UV light to seal it up.

I've gotten flack from club members for calls in the club bar. I found that different sounds can be made from different tubular items. In the bar I use different types of stir and drink straws. If you want something different to present if nothing seems to work. Get some of these and try them, they may save a hunt My $.02

Used it a lot as a turkey call if I broke up a flock of turkeys.

BTW....I did a little more craft work on the very nice wing bone call I purchased from WF. In addition to adding a brass mouth piece, I wanted to change the tone a bit. So, I cut the lower "flared" part a little shorter and while I was at it.......I polished up the remaining portion of the flared part that I could reach with my Dremel. Knowing that one tiny slip of the Dremel can be disastrous .....if you choose to do this.....take tiny steps to make it work!! Anyway, here's the finished product.....see if you can tell the differences.

It sounds a little different when I cut the small piece from the bottom. More a sounding now than before.....but I like the "new" sound. I think it's personal preference.
