I bought some from the same place and the guy told me that the nitrogen wasn't a necessity.I plan on spraying it on Monday if there's no rain.My wife and I are heading to Vancouver next week so we'll be putting the dog in a kennel for a few days. She's constantly in the clover pointing and chasing bumble bees.I'd rather several days go by after I spray before she plays in there.

Might be hard to see in the pics, but it looks like it is working. You can see the darker grass nearer the camera. It was mowed at the same time but I didn't spray that part. The grass that was sprayed hasn't grown is is starting to turn yellow. Clover is still doing fine. Untitled by cspot12, on Flickr by cspot12, on Flickr

Looks like it's going to work. How did it do on weeds? Same?

I sprayed mine yesterday.I think it takes about 10 days to start seeing good results.i'm not sure what kind of coverage I got though. It was so High that even with the three point hitch at it's highest point, the boom was about 1/4 way into the weeds in spots.

Any idea how old the clover needs to be to spray?
Thinking I'll probably need this come late summer, after mowing for weeds.

Any idea how old the clover needs to be to spray? Thinking I'll probably need this come late summer, after mowing for weeds. That is a good question. I am not sure. Only bad thing about late summer is if it is dry then that can stress the clover which wouldn't be good either. Here is the label for Raptor which is the same thing. One thing to note though is that it has some residual properties to it. You aren't supposed to plant beets for 2 years in a plot after application or =the herbicide will inhibit the growth. It is on the label. Thought I would bring this up as I know you like your brassicas. www3.epa.gov/pesticides/chem_search/ppls/000241-00379-20011226.pdf

Can definitely see more of a difference now. Didn't realize how much grass was in this plot. Untitled by cspot12, on Flickr

Are you going to overseed with more clover or is there enough?
Must say, that is pretty effective on grass!

Are you going to overseed with more clover or is there enough? Must say, that is pretty effective on grass! I am probably going to wait and see how the clover does. Will probably frost seed this winter and then hit it again next Spring/Summer. I thought there was more clover than there actually was. Hopefully it will fill in on it's own.

The clover in the plot is blooming now and looking better. Hard to see in the pics but there is some small clover in alot of the bare spots where the grass was too. I will see how it fills in this summer and may frost seed next year. Pretty happy with the herbicide though and definitely will be using it more on the clover plots. Craig's looks better than mine.My field grew like crazy and it was too high by the time I sprayed it to get good coverage.I should have knocked it down first.

I need to get some, I guess I think I am going to start spraying my clover plots every year or 2 to see if I can keep them maintained. It will also save from having to mow them as often as I was before.

Here is a pic from a day or 2 ago. The clover is filling in. I did mix up a spray bottle to hit a couple of the big weeds that were in the middle. Untitled by cspot12, on Flickr Then today I bush-hogged the tops of the clover off. Untitled by cspot12, on Flickr Untitled by cspot12, on Flickr
